Per Diem Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
VNAcare, a not-for-profit hospice care provider serving San Bernardino, Riverside, and Eastern Los Angeles counties, is hiring a Nurse Practitioner for its Rancho Cucamonga location and surrounding areas. The position provides professional and comprehensive care to critically, chronically, or terminally ill patients in the community. It is a per diem position on the day shift. The organization describes its clinicians’ schedules as flexible, with limited weekends, after-hours, and on-call work, and offers competitive salaries, mileage reimbursement, and orientation and on-the-job training. The salary is $75.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nursing license in the State of California.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of California.
- At least one year of professional nursing experience.
Nice To Haves
- Hospice experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively within an interdisciplinary setting.
- Demonstrate understanding of hospice philosophy and the principles of death and dying.
- Comply with accepted professional standards and practices.
- Use strong observation, assessment, nursing judgment, and communication skills.
- Provide accurate written documentation in a timely manner.
- Work independently with little supervision.
- Efficiently schedule home visits for patients needing a face-to-face visit for recertification.
