About The Position

Caring Therapists of Broward is seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their group practice in Orlando. The practice is a collaborative environment for therapists who work well together in the office. The role involves establishing rapport with patients, diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, creating individualized treatment plans, providing counseling, conducting assessments, involving family members when appropriate, referring patients to specialists, maintaining records, following safety protocols, and collaborating with administrative staff. The ideal candidate is independent, driven, collaborative, and contributes to a positive and fun group of clinicians. The practice is well-respected and seeks passionate mental health professionals.

Requirements

  • Fully licensed in the State of Florida
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP)
  • Current DEA certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • Willingness to be paneled with insurance companies
  • Works with children, ages 4-18 and/or couples
  • Willing to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Current State of Florida license as a PMHNP
  • Willing to work 30 hours per week or more

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2-year post-independent licensure
  • Paneled with insurance
  • Prior private practice experience

Responsibilities

  • Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients
  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders
  • Create individualized treatment plans according to patient needs and circumstances
  • Meet with patients regularly to provide counseling, evidenced-based treatment, and adjust treatment plans as necessary
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress
  • Involve and advise family members when appropriate
  • Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary
  • Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain client confidentiality
  • Maintain proper licenses, certifications and follow professional guidelines, ethical standards
  • Contribute to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed
  • Collaborate with Caring Therapists administrative staff and management to exceed best practices and grow our organization
