About The Position

Thriveworks is seeking licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Paramus, New Jersey, for a Fee for Service (W2) part-time position. Clinicians will provide care to a diverse population of clients with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more, primarily adults and adolescents, with a future focus on expanding care across the lifespan. The role involves both in-person and telemedicine services. Requirements

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • Board Certification required
  • Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority required in the state
  • Licensed and living in the state in which they will be practicing (Paramus, New Jersey)
  • 1 year of psychiatry practice is required
  • Part-time requires 15 - 20 hours of availability per week
  • Ability to see intakes in person and follow up with candidates in person every 90 days
  • Willingness to treat 14 years old and up
  • Complete an in-house training on Thriveworks' ADHD treatment standards, guidelines, and approach, followed by a brief exam

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of AdvancedMD (AMD) EMR is a plus
  • Three years of experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to a diverse population of clients with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and more
  • Work with a broad range of age groups, primarily adults and adolescents, with a future focus on expanding care across the lifespan
  • See intakes in person and follow up with candidates in person every 90 days
  • Make Psychiatric assessments and evaluations of clients in an ongoing in-person and telemedicine capacity
  • Prescribe medication to reduce mental health symptoms, as needed
  • Create and collaborate with clients on care plans
  • Complete and/or administer appropriate paperwork and assessment tools for clients
  • Adhere to Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines
  • Consult with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients, programs, and services at the various sites
  • Accept and treat ADHD clients (after completing in-house training)
