About The Position

Thriveworks is seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners in Williamsburg, VA. Clinicians must be licensed and reside in the state where they practice. This is a Fee for Service (W2) position with a compensation range of $130,000-$187,000 per year for 25-35 clinical hours per week. Thriveworks prioritizes safety and best practices in telemedicine, offering stimulant medications as an option based on client needs and clinician discretion, rather than pushing or incentivizing their use. The practice does not currently treat substance use disorders and refers out for severe symptoms that cannot be managed via telemedicine alone. Nurse Practitioners will provide care to a diverse population with conditions like depression, anxiety, and ADHD, primarily serving adults and adolescents, with plans to expand across the lifespan.

Requirements

  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certification required
  • Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority required in the state
  • One year of psychiatry practice is required
  • Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners need to be licensed and live in the state in which they will be practicing
  • All clinicians are required to complete an in-house training on our ADHD treatment standards, guidelines, and approach, followed by a certification exam.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of AdvancedMD (AMD) EMR is a plus
  • Three years of experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Make Psychiatric assessments and evaluations of clients in an ongoing in-person and telemedicine capacity
  • Prescribe medication to reduce mental health symptoms, as needed
  • Create and collaborate with clients on care plans
  • Complete and/or administer appropriate paperwork and assessment tools for clients
  • Adhere to Thriveworks' Clinical Practice Guidelines
  • Consult with Regional Clinic Directors and staff on clients, programs, and services at the various sites
