Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Independent Contractor) $105/hour
About The Position
Damar is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work with patients ages 8 to 21 at its campus in East Chicago, Indiana. The role involves medication evaluation and management, as well as screenings. Patients are seen monthly. This is an independent contractor opportunity with flexible, autonomous scheduling. The practitioner manages their appointment schedule according to patient needs and their availability. All patient appointments take place onsite. Although campus operations run 24/7, appointments and administrative needs typically fall between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Availability is expected to align with patient needs and operational priorities. Compensation is $105 per session.
Requirements
- Hold a current and valid State Board of Nursing license for Advanced Practice.
- Be accredited to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC.
- Meet all state requirements and obtain valid Prescriptive Authority.
- Meet and maintain all state and national legal requirements to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Indiana.
- Be at least 21 years old, per licensure requirements.
- Meet and maintain the background screening requirements of assigned programs.
- Have no felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience as an APRN is preferred.
- Pediatric experience is a plus.
- Psychiatric experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct medication evaluations and provide medication management for patients ages 8 to 21.

- See patients monthly at the onsite campus.
