Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (Independent Contractor) $105/hour
About The Position
Damar is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work with patients ages 8 to 21 at its East Chicago, Indiana campus. The role involves medication evaluations and management, as well as screenings. Patients are seen monthly. This is an independent contractor opportunity with flexible, autonomous scheduling. The practitioner manages their appointment schedule based on patient needs and availability. All appointments take place onsite. Although campus operations run 24/7, most appointments and administrative needs typically occur during daytime hours, generally 8:00 AM–4:00 PM or 9:00 AM–5:00 PM. Availability is expected to align with patient needs and operational priorities. Pay is $105 per session.
Requirements
- Hold a current and valid State Board of Nursing license for Advanced Practice.
- Be accredited to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner by AANP or ANCC.
- Meet state requirements and obtain valid Prescriptive Authority.
- Meet and maintain all state and national legal requirements to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state.
- Be at least 21 years old, per licensure requirements.
- Meet and maintain background screening requirements for assigned programs.
- Have no felony convictions or other criminal offenses involving a dependent population.
Nice To Haves
- Six months of experience as an APRN is preferred.
- Pediatric and psychiatric experience is a plus.
