Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner/Outpatient Clinic/Independent Contractor/Oviedo
About The Position
Harmony United Psychiatric Care, part of Harmony United Healthcare LLC, is a network of outpatient mental health clinics providing in-person and virtual services in Florida through a secure telehealth platform. Services include psychiatric and psychological evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy and counseling, and neuropsychological testing. The clinics serve adults, adolescents, and children aged five and above, with individualized care delivered with compassion and respect. The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner provides outpatient psychiatric care in the Oviedo, Florida clinic and through telemedicine. This is an independent contractor role. The contractor chooses their working hours, with offices open Monday through Thursday for in-person and telehealth appointments and telemedicine availability Friday through Sunday. The role includes phone-only on-call coverage seven days every five to six months, and the option to work 50% via telemedicine from the start. Compensation is up to $130 per hour. Group malpractice insurance, administrative support, access to EMR technology, and a focus on work/life balance are offered.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, or one year of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner plus three years as a Nurse Practitioner in any specialty.
- Must be board-certified to practice.
- Must have an active license in the State of Florida.

- Work experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and therapeutic interventions for patients with a variety of mental health conditions.
- Provide medication management and brief psychotherapeutic interventions.
- Administer long-acting injectable (LAI) medications when necessary; this is an infrequent service in most clinics.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare providers.
- Provide psychoeducation to patients and their families about mental health conditions and therapeutic strategies.
- Document services rendered in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in psychiatry through continuing education and professional development.
