About The Position

Mindify Wellness and Care is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to provide psychiatric care at a partner adult day care center in Pennsauken, New Jersey, and through telehealth to patients throughout New Jersey. Onsite availability in Pennsauken is required; this is not a fully remote position. The role offers an established patient caseload, ongoing referrals, administrative support, collaboration with a psychiatrist and other healthcare professionals, and flexible scheduling. The position is offered as a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Part-time or full-time W-2 opportunities may be considered in the future based on organizational needs and mutual interest.

The partner center operates Monday through Friday, with typical hours of 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Onsite coverage is generally needed 1–3 days per week. Specific days and hours are discussed based on provider availability and center needs. Telehealth appointments may be scheduled on onsite days or additional days.

Compensation is $70–$90 per completed initial psychiatric evaluation and $40–$60 per completed follow-up medication-management visit. Compensation depends on experience, credentials, qualifications, and clinical expertise. Mindify provides administrative scheduling support, malpractice insurance coverage, and a collaborative agreement for services delivered to Mindify patients. These malpractice and collaboration arrangements apply only while actively contracted with Mindify and do not extend to outside employment or private practice.

Requirements

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active New Jersey RN license.
• Active New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) certification.
• Current PMHNP-BC certification.
• Active DEA registration.
• Active New Jersey Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) registration.
• Strong clinical assessment, medication-management, and communication skills.
• Ability to provide onsite psychiatric services in Pennsauken and telehealth services to patients located in New Jersey.
• Onsite availability in Pennsauken is required.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience as a PMHNP is preferred; newly certified PMHNPs with relevant psychiatric experience are welcome to apply.
• Experience in outpatient behavioral health, geriatric psychiatry, telehealth, or community-based settings is preferred.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication-management visits.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions using DSM-5-TR criteria.
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications.
• Develop and maintain individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress, treatment effectiveness, and medication side effects.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding psychiatric conditions and treatment.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in the EMR.
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and other members of the treatment team.
• Conduct clinical risk assessments and address patient concerns as appropriate.
• Follow HIPAA requirements, professional standards, and organizational policies.
• Provide onsite psychiatric services in Pennsauken and telehealth services to patients located in New Jersey.
