About The Position
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will provide psychotropic medication management to patients in long-term care facilities. This low-stress position is ideal for someone looking to work outside a traditional clinic or hospital setting.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent)
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in specified location
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and occupational health principles is a plus
Responsibilities
- Conducting thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
- Developing and implementing personalized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Offering psychotropic medication management, including prescribing and monitoring medications.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure patient care.
- Maintaining accurate medical documentation in line with regulatory standards.
- Participating in clinical research initiatives when applicable.
- Providing education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatments.
