Psychiatry (PMHNP)
About The Position
Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, is seeking full-time Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP's) in the Department of Psychiatry. The Department of Psychiatry includes the Division of Inpatient Psychiatry (a 14-bed acute Inpatient Psychiatry unit expanding to 20 beds by the end of 2026, consults to Med-Surg inpatients at several affiliate hospitals, and consults to the Emergency Departments), and the Division of Outpatient Psychiatry (OMH-licensed clinic in Cooperstown NY) with satellites throughout the Bassett Network and extensive Tele psychiatry services. This role involves working within a diverse psychiatric team of physicians and PMHNP’s.
Requirements
- Psychiatric- Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification
- State of NY Experience with Adults – 18 years’ +
- New York State Licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Valid DEA license
- BLS Certification
Nice To Haves
- 3+ Years’ Experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide a full range of primary mental health services to our adult patient population with a focus on the promotion of optimal mental health.
- Provides psychiatric consultation, diagnostic and treatment services to the identified patient population, including medication management and crisis intervention services.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
