About The Position

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, is seeking a full-time PMHNP's in the Department of Psychiatry. The Department of Psychiatry includes the Division of Inpatient Psychiatry (14 bed acute Inpatient Psychiatry unit expanding to 20 beds by the end of 2026, consults to Med-Surg inpatients at several affiliate hospitals, and consults to the Emergency Departments), and the Division of Outpatient Psychiatry (OMH-licensed clinic in Cooperstown NY) with satellites throughout the Bassett Network and extensive Tele psychiatry services. A diverse psychiatric team of physicians and PMHNP’s.

Requirements

• Psychiatric- Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification State of NY
• Experience with Adults – 18 year’s +
• New York State Licensure (or eligibilty to obtain)
• Valid DEA license
• BLS Certification

Nice To Haves

• 3+ Years’ Experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of primary mental health services to our adult patient population with a focus on the promotion of optimal mental health,
• Provides psychiatric consultation, diagnostic and treatment services to the identified patient population, including medication management and crisis intervention services
• Maintain accurate documentation
