About The Position

CHE Behavioral Health Services is hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide adult and geriatric mental health care in partnered facilities near Dalton, Georgia. CHE has been a national leader in adult and geriatric mental health since 1995 and serves more than 100,000 patients across 800+ facilities in 11+ states. The clinician will conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits, develop and assess treatment plans, prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, and collaborate with an integrated care team. The role offers a consistent caseload, flexible scheduling options, and an AI scribe that drafts session notes to reduce after-hours charting. The posted schedule window is Monday through Friday, 7 AM–7 PM; the employer states there are no nights, weekends, or on-call duties.

Requirements

MSN in Psychiatric/Mental Health.
ANCC PMHNP certification.
Active DEA license in the state of practice.
Experience in psychotropic medication management.
At least 2 years of experience; Family Nurse Practitioners with 3–5 years of psychiatric experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

Conduct psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits.
Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
Collaborate with an integrated care team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, LCSWs, and nursing staff.
Distinguish and diagnose psychological versus physiological disorders.
Consult on complex or unusual clinical cases.
