Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is hiring a Psych Tech for the Davis County Receiving Center (RC), a 23–72-hour alternative to inpatient hospitalization or incarceration that specializes in short-term crisis resolution. Psych Techs are front-line support staff who work directly with clients experiencing behavioral health crises. They engage with clients individually, manage the milieu, attend to client needs, supervise clients, de-escalate crisis situations, coordinate with other service providers, and maintain a positive recovery environment. Active client engagement is a minimum expectation. The current opening is a part-time graveyard schedule consisting of three consecutive shifts: Thursday 11:00 p.m. to Friday 8:00 a.m., Saturday midnight to 8:00 a.m., and Sunday midnight to 8:00 a.m. The role also includes two to three on-call shifts per week. When called in during an on-call shift, employees are expected to arrive within 30 minutes; for coverage arranged before a shift begins, they are expected to arrive at the scheduled start time. On-call shifts are scheduled shifts, and employees must be available when called. The position is non-exempt. The stated hourly rate is $19.25, with a 15% differential for graveyard and weekend shifts. Scheduled on-call shifts are eligible for a $20 per diem each. Part-time employees are not eligible for DBH’s agency benefits program, but all employees may use the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through Intermountain LiVe Well. Applicants must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screening. Candidates offered employment must report for a drug screen at an Intermountain WorkMed location within 24 hours of being requested by DBH Human Resources. DBH is a drug-free workplace and complies with federal drug laws, including prohibiting medical marijuana use.
