Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is hiring a Psych Tech for its Davis County Receiving Center (RC), a 23–72-hour alternative to inpatient hospitalization or incarceration that specializes in short-term crisis resolution. Psych Techs are front-line support staff who work directly with people experiencing behavioral health crises. They engage with clients individually, manage the milieu, attend to client needs, provide supervision, de-escalate crises, coordinate with other service providers, and maintain a positive recovery environment. Active client engagement is a minimum expectation. The available opening is a part-time graveyard position comprising three consecutive shifts: Thursday 11:00 p.m. to Friday 8:00 a.m., Saturday 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., and Sunday 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., plus two to three on-call shifts per week. Part-time employees must work fewer than 30 hours per week. On-call shifts are scheduled shifts, and employees must be available when called. When called in during an on-call shift, employees are expected to arrive within 30 minutes. The hourly rate based on established minimum qualifications is $19.25, with a 15% differential for graveyard and weekend shifts. Eligible part-time Psych Techs scheduled for on-call shifts may receive $20 per on-call shift. Employment is conditional on successfully passing a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check. DBH is a drug-free workplace and, because it works with federal grants, prohibits use of medical marijuana. Part-time employees are not eligible for the agency benefits program, but all employees may use the Employee Assistance Program through Intermountain LiVe Well. DBH is an equal opportunity employer.
