About The Position

The Receiving Tech is a hands-on member of the intake team and is responsible for receiving raw milk and cream shipments. The role verifies tanker weights and milk temperatures, collects product samples for testing, and performs cleaning-in-place (CIP) procedures on tankers and silos while maintaining accurate documentation. The Receiving Tech helps ensure food safety, product quality, sanitation, and compliance with applicable health and safety regulations in a clean, safe, fast-paced team environment. Other duties may be assigned as required.

Requirements

• Able to follow directions and carry out instructions.

• Able to write legible entries for record keeping.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Production or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or license may be required during employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform CIP on each tanker and silo and maintain proper documentation of each process.
• Gather raw milk samples from tankers for product testing.
• Weigh tankers on scales; check milk temperature and record weight and temperature readings.
• Immediately report food safety or food quality issues to management.
• Maintain safe working conditions for employees and comply with state and federal health and safety regulations.
• Follow DFA good manufacturing practices and corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
