About The Position

An introduction to the science and practice of well-being, including topics such as happiness, optimism, gratitude, mindfulness, positive mental health, character strengths, and positive relationships, with a focus on evidence-based strategies for optimizing individual and community functioning. Students will develop the skills to understand the theoretical and empirical underpinnings of positive psychology.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or minimum two years progress in a doctoral program.
  • Degree in Psychology.
  • Specialization in Positive Psychology.
  • Refereed publications in the area of positive psychology.
  • CV (Maximum 10 pages).

  • Evidence of Good Teaching (for external applicants).
  • Verification of highest degree (for external applicants).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct lectures for the Positive Psychology course.
  • Develop and deliver course content for Fall 2026.
  • Administer and proctor in-person final exams and at least one midterm assessment on campus for instructors residing within a 150 km radius.
  • Utilize AI tools in the hiring process (Note: The posting explicitly states 'No' for AI tools in hiring).
  • Manage a virtual asynchronous lecture mode of delivery.
  • Oversee an anticipated class size of 75 students.
  • Provide supplementary remuneration for marking and grading allowance as per Article 28.2.
