About The Position

An introduction to the science and practice of well-being, including topics such as happiness, optimism, gratitude, mindfulness, positive mental health, character strengths, and positive relationships, with a focus on evidence-based strategies for optimizing individual and community functioning. Students will develop the skills to understand the theoretical and empirical underpinnings of positive psychology.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree or minimum two years progress in doctoral program
  • Discipline: Psychology
  • Specialization: Positive Psychology
  • Refereed publications in the area of positive psychology required.
  • CV (Maximum of 10 pages, with 12-point font and 2.54 cm margins).
  • Candidate Application Form (CAF) must be submitted.
  • Applicants must clearly outline only those qualifications which are relevant for each course for which they have applied and articulate how their work and academic experience enhances their ability to teach each course on the CAF.
  • Verification of highest degree (required for external applicants, highly recommended for all applicants).

Nice To Haves

  • Previous university teaching experience preferred.
