The current global political climate has made the accurate, in-depth and objective coverage of a government and its decisions more important than ever before. You have a record of breaking stories of political significance and a deep roster of contacts. Work must adhere to CBC journalistic standards and practices, but initiative and independent judgment are also required. You have the ability to connect the workings of Queen’s Park to the key issues and needs of Ontario’s diverse communities. You are a great communicator and have the confidence and experience to put legislative news into context for the audience on all platforms. You have a strong digital presence and are as comfortable in breaking news situations as you are at providing analysis. You thrive when you are in the spotlight and can appear regularly on CBC’s live platforms and programs to analyze provincial affairs.
