About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring a Prototype Build Engineer in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The engineer will manage prototype build activities, including developing and communicating build plans based on vehicle specifications, coordinating purchasing, and tracking parts development and program timing. The role leads multiple teams to ensure program deliverables are met and to resolve issues affecting build quality, engineering design, manufacturing processes, and timing. The engineer must be able to direct issue resolution at all levels.

This opportunity is suited to a recent engineering graduate or early-career engineer seeking hands-on experience in prototype vehicle builds. A bachelor's degree is required; a mechanical engineering degree is preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering; a mechanical engineering degree is preferred.
• A strong mechanical engineering foundation with exposure to engineering design, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, and Success Factor.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in the automotive or aerospace field.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle build processes.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Comfort preparing presentations and presenting to all levels.

Nice To Haves

• Formula SAE experience or relevant automotive internship experience is preferred for entry-level candidates.
