About The Position

Stefanini Group is hiring a Prototype Build Engineer in Auburn Hills, Michigan. This role manages prototype build activities, including developing and communicating build plans based on vehicle specifications, coordinating purchasing, and tracking part development and program timing. The engineer leads multiple teams to ensure program deliverables are met and resolves issues affecting build quality, engineering design, manufacturing processes, and timing. The role requires directing issue resolution at all levels. It is suited to a recent engineering graduate or early-career engineer seeking hands-on experience with prototype vehicle builds.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering; a Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred.
• Strong mechanical engineering foundation with exposure to engineering design, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, and Success Factor.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in the automotive or aerospace field.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle build processes.
• Fluency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Comfort preparing presentations and presenting to audiences at all levels.

Nice To Haves

• Formula SAE experience or relevant automotive internship experience, preferred for entry-level candidates.
