About The Position

Ladgov Corporation is seeking a qualified Protestant Religious Education Coordinator to support the Protestant religious education program at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. The Coordinator will plan, organize, and oversee religious education programs for children, youth, and adults while working closely with the Senior Protestant Chaplain, chapel staff, volunteers, and other religious education personnel. The position includes program planning, curriculum coordination, volunteer recruitment and training, budgeting, event support, publicity, recordkeeping, and oversight of religious education activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of experience as a Religious Education Coordinator.
  • Minimum two years of experience planning, organizing, and directing religious education programs for children, youth, and adults.
  • Experience may include programs such as Sunday School, AWANA, Vacation Bible School, youth ministry, Bible studies, small groups, or similar religious education activities.
  • Knowledge of Protestant religious education curriculum and instructional materials.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and pluralistic military environment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with chaplains, chapel staff, volunteers, children, youth, adults, and families.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn applicable Air Force chapel program, administrative, and budgeting procedures.
  • Ability to successfully complete required background screening for work involving children.
  • Availability to participate in an interview as part of the selection process.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate Protestant religious education programs for children, youth, and adults.
  • Organize Sunday programs, Bible studies, youth activities, Vacation Bible School, retreats, and special events.
  • Select and manage approved curriculum, educational materials, supplies, and program resources.
  • Recruit, schedule, train, and support volunteers, including required background screening for personnel working with minors.
  • Assist with program budgets, funding requests, purchasing, and expense tracking.
  • Maintain attendance, program records, calendars, and required administrative documentation.
  • Coordinate facility use, room setup, equipment, and logistical support for scheduled activities.
  • Promote religious education programs through approved communication and publicity methods.
  • Attend chapel meetings and coordinate closely with chaplains, chapel staff, volunteers, and other faith-group representatives.
