The Protestant Religious Education Coordinator (PREC) serves as the primary coordinator, facilitator, and organizer for all Protestant Religious Education (RE) events and elements. This role involves teaching pre-approved curriculum for children's church services and RE programs when volunteer support is insufficient. The role requires coordinating facility setup, equipment, and resources for RE programs, developing and maintaining electronic records, recommending curriculum, and providing lesson plans to volunteers. The PREC is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the annual Vacation Bible School (VBS) and other special RE events, recording and reporting attendance, assisting with reporting requirements, publicizing events, planning the annual volunteer appreciation event, and incorporating children and youth in holiday worship specials. Compliance with all relevant Air Force Instructions and Operating Instructions regarding facility usage, resource protection, fire protection, funds utilization, and safety is mandatory.
