The Protective Services Attendant (Night Shift) is a cross-trained, frontline role within the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation safety and security team. This position supports overnight operations across the Library’s buildings, exhibitions, trails, and public spaces, while also rotating through scheduled shifts in the security control room. During night hours, team members maintain a vigilant presence across the campus, balancing routine patrols with centralized monitoring, communication, and coordination through security systems. This role is essential to overnight readiness—ensuring the campus remains secure, systems are actively monitored, and any risks or incidents are identified and addressed in real time. It requires strong situational awareness, the ability to stay focused in a low-activity environment, clear communication, and disciplined adherence to protocol. The position reports to the Manager of Protective Services and works under the day-to-day direction of the Protective Services Lead.
