Proposal Writer

The Proposal Writer at Striveworks will be responsible for communicating the company's MLOps capabilities to potential customers and partners in a professional, credible, and persuasive manner. They will work cross-functionally with technical, business development, marketing, and customer success teams to create compelling proposals and RFI responses that align with Striveworks' goals and values. The ideal candidate should have excellent written communication skills, be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, and have experience writing complex proposals and technical content. This is a remote or hybrid work environment position with an anticipated pay range of $55-75/hour.

• Translate product and value proposition into clear, compelling language that connects with customers and partners
• Communicate Striveworks' MLOps capabilities to potential customers and partners in a professional, credible, and persuasive manner
• Work cross-functionally with technical, Business Development, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to create compelling proposals and RFI responses that align with Striveworks' goals and values and contribute to their reputation for excellence
• Have excellent written communication skills and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
• Edit and revise proposals according to feedback
• Develop content with a consistent and cohesive voice
• Maintain and enforce a company style guide
• Prioritize multiple competing responsibilities to meet deadlines
• Possess experience writing complex proposals and/or deeply technical content
• Possess 2-4 years of professional work experience and extensive writing experience
• Possess knowledge of MLA or Chicago Manual of Style
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Possess a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
• Pay attention to detail

• Experience writing complex proposals and/or deeply technical content
• 2–4 years of professional work experience and extensive writing experience
• Ability to create content—writing, organizing, formatting, and editing—in a professional and credible manner
• Ability to edit and revise proposals according to feedback
• Track record of developing content with a consistent and cohesive voice
• Knowledge of MLA or Chicago Manual of Style
• Experience with maintaining and enforcing a company style guide
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple competing responsibilities to meet deadlines
• Strong sense of responsibility and accountability

• Experience crafting winning technical proposals (preferred)
• Experience writing complex proposals for a federal government audience (preferred)
• Experience writing proposals relating to software development (preferred)
• Experience responding to formal solicitations from government entities, including RFPs and RFIs (preferred)
• Experience working with a design team to create graphics and visuals (preferred)
• Experience with other stages of the content creation process such as coordinating the team through ideation, researching, SME data gathering, and content synthesis (preferred)
• Exposure to Machine Learning and/or MLOps concepts (preferred)
