About The Position

Raba Kistner, Inc. is an engineering consulting and program management firm seeking a detail-oriented, dependable Proposal Manager for its Marketing team. The role may be based in San Antonio, New Braunfels, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Corpus Christi, or McAllen, Texas. The Proposal Manager leads proposal development for key project pursuits and works with marketing, business development, and operations teams to produce compelling, project-specific proposals and qualification responses that demonstrate the firm’s expertise and differentiators. The position also supports interview preparation and the broader pursuit process, working with the Senior Marketing Manager to align proposal strategies with business development goals, provide oversight, and support resource planning and team performance. The role requires managing proposal efforts from kickoff through submission, coordinating across multidisciplinary teams and teaming partners, developing and refining proposal and presentation content, and maintaining pursuit records and marketing information systems. The position may require protracted or irregular hours to meet client needs. The physical demands include occasional standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and driving short or long distances; regular sitting, hand use, and reaching; continuous talking or hearing; and occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 pounds. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.
Ten years of experience managing proposal processes, presentation coaching, and related business development activities in engineering or a related industry.
Specialized expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign.
Valid driver’s license within the applicable jurisdiction and ability to meet the company’s auto insurability requirements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent proofreading and editing skills.
Excellent time management skills and ability to balance multiple short-term deadlines against long-term goals.
Expertise managing details for projects with multiple elements and contributors.
Self-motivated, able to work independently, and able to work with supervision from multiple team members.

Responsibilities

Lead development of RFQ/RFP responses for prime and teamed opportunities from initiation through submission, ensuring requirements are met before deadlines.
Work with pursuit teams to develop custom, project-specific approaches that address client needs and communicate firm differentiators.
Write, proofread, and edit proposal content, including cover letters, company overviews, technical staff resumes, project descriptions, process narratives, organizational charts, and infographics.
Coordinate with teaming partners to exchange resumes, project descriptions, and other required proposal data.
Complete proposal close-out activities and maintain organized records throughout the pursuit lifecycle.
Schedule, support, and lead pursuit strategy meetings with multidisciplinary teams and staff across the country.
Coach technical teams for shortlist interview presentations and develop presentation materials and leave-behind documents.
Work with proposal coordinators to review and refine content, emphasizing continual improvement.
Provide leadership throughout the proposal process and foster collaboration across disciplines and geographies.
Develop and maintain industry relationships to promote Raba Kistner’s services and capabilities.
Manage proposal files, marketing databases, proposal management platforms, and other digital resources.
Align proposal strategies with broader business development goals in partnership with the Senior Marketing Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned.
