About The Position

The successful candidate will be an experienced Mitchell-Lama property manager who administers the daily operations, regulatory compliance, and physical maintenance of HPD and HCR Mitchell-Lama housing cooperative developments.

Requirements

Minimum of 5-7 years of Mitchell-Lama Cooperative experience.
Knowledge of HPD or HCR Mitchell-Lama rules required.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong administrative skills.
Strong communication skills.
Strong computer skills.
Familiarity with all aspects of building/maintenance systems.
Familiarity with resident/Board relations.

BJ Murray experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain chronological or lottery-based housing waiting lists.
Efficiently offer, market and lease vacant apartments in compliance with city or state mandates.
Process equity payouts.
Perform Building Inspections.
Coordinate routine repairs, general upkeep, and 24-hour emergency dispatch services.
Oversee building maintenance obligations, vendor relations, and local code compliance.
Plan and direct building rehabilitations, capital improvements, and major construction projects.
Coordinate and process violation dismissals and ensure compliance.
Work closely with the cooperative Board of Directors to ensure operational and fiscal stability.
Coordinate inspections and communications with government oversight agencies.
Implement board policies while adhering strictly to Article 2 of the NYS Private Housing Finance Law and local housing regulations.
Attend evening board meetings and prepare board meeting management reports and agendas.
