About The Position

This position will work with our housekeeping department in delivering a pleasant vacation experience to visitors by preparing rental units and maintaining common areas of properties to impeccable hospitality standards. Mountain Resorts and Simply Steamboat are now a part of Steamboat Hospitality, Steamboat Resort's new hospitality division. Requirements

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have cleaning experience and basic computer knowledge.
Must have valid DL and be able to pass a driving authorization for this position.
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be physically able to ascend stairs while weight-bearing up to 30 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision for detail work.
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, climb or crawl.
Must be able to communicate clearly with supervisor, regardless of mode (speaking required, hearing optional).
Occasionally required to sit.
Occasionally required to rely on smell.

Responsibilities

Monitors and maintains sufficient inventory and organization of supplies and linens in the various housekeeping closets at properties.
Secures and strips units of soiled linens and towels.
Loads and hauls trash and linens from units, walkways, common areas, garages and balconies.
Responsible for overall cleaning of common areas and outdoor areas.
Delivers supplies to housekeepers, guests/owners, closets, etc. as requested.
May perform light maintenance duties in units or common areas or may assist maintenance in performing tasks.
Cross trains in other departments as necessary.
Assists housekeepers as necessary.
Performs snow removal from common areas and walkways as necessary.
Transports housekeepers to and from properties as necessary.
Reports maintenance problems observed (exterior or interior).
Maintains and cares for all equipment and supplies he/she works with.
Must maintain a satisfactory driving record and valid drivers license in order to comply with our insurance requirements of non-livery drivers.
Drives to and from properties in a safe and lawful manner, always being mindful of safety and adherence to the rules of the road.
