About The Position
Under the direction of the Claims Director, the Property Claims Adjuster is primarily responsible for investigating, evaluating, and negotiating settlement of assigned claims with the goal of serving the customer and ensuring quality file handling. The Claim Adjuster will work remotely in the Nashville area.
Requirements
- 2 years of college and 2 years of claims handling experience, or 4 years of claims handling experience with property adjusting experience
- Must possess strong communication and organization skills and ability to work with a personal computer
- Demonstrated ability to interact with people in a professional manner, determine coverage, investigate, determine liability and settle insurance claims
- Must be available to work during disaster situations (including nights and/or weekends), if required
Nice To Haves
- Basic Knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance is desired
Responsibilities
- Investigates assigned claims of various levels of complexity
- Negotiates assigned claims of various levels of complexity
- Settles (within authorized limits) assigned claims of various levels of complexity
- Establishes and maintains positive relationships with both internal and external customers providing excellent customer service
