About The Position

Akelius is seeking a customer service-focused and strong-organized property administrator to support a portfolio of residential properties in the United States. The property administrator will partner with the property manager to ensure that the business objectives of the assigned portfolio are being achieved. The successful individual will ensure compliance with legal requirements and Akelius standards.

Requirements

  • bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Accounting, or related field is preferred
  • residential property or commercial administration experience are an asset
  • fluency in English required; Spanish proficiency is a plus but not required.
  • knowledge and understanding of the tenant board processes
  • superior organizational and time management skills
  • ability to multi-task with competing deadlines
  • confident in taking initiative and making decisions and managing arrears
  • adaptable to an ever-changing environment
  • proficient use of Yardi voyager

Responsibilities

  • manage lease and legal administration process of assigned portfolio
  • build and maintain positive tenant relationships
  • communicate professionally with tenants, business partners, and Akelius team
  • coordinate with legal department for tenant board issues
  • maintain organized filing systems for tenants
  • prepare and process rent collections
  • manage parking vacancy
  • other duties and special projects as assigned
  • prepare and process collections for overdue accounts
  • communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, business partners, and other stakeholders
  • build and maintain positive tenant relationships
  • process rent payments and cheque requisitions
