Propane Service Technician
About The Position
Tiger Fuel Company is seeking a customer-focused, mechanically inclined Propane Service Technician to install, repair, and maintain propane distribution systems and equipment for retail customers. The hands-on role includes setting tanks, running lines, and fine-tuning propane appliances. Technicians work independently and alongside teammates, contractors, and customers, with varied equipment and responsibilities. The position includes emergency response and system installation and testing, as well as an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean driving record.
- Pass required drug screening and background and motor vehicle record checks.
Nice To Haves
- Ideally, two or more years of experience installing and repairing propane-based heating systems, equipment, and appliances.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and maintaining propane-operated appliances.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain propane distribution systems for retail customers.
- Provide emergency response and perform system installation and testing.
- Provide customer service by sharing service information and answering inquiries during daily interactions.
- Inspect the vehicle and notify a supervisor about needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
- Keep the work area and vehicle clean and orderly, with tools, equipment, and materials properly stored.
- Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
- Operate the vehicle in accordance with established safety procedures.
- Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane equipment to and from specified destinations.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.
