About The Position
Tiger Fuel Company is seeking a customer-focused, mechanically inclined Propane Service Technician to install, repair, and maintain propane distribution systems and related equipment. The role involves setting tanks, running lines, fine-tuning propane appliances, responding to emergencies, and installing and testing systems. Technicians work independently and alongside company teammates, contractors, and customers, with varied equipment and daily assignments. The position requires an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clean driving record.
- Pass a drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record check.
Nice To Haves
- Two or more years of experience installing and repairing propane-based heating systems, equipment, and appliances.
- Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and maintaining propane-operated appliances.
- Propane service experience.
- Hardworking and committed to providing excellent customer care.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain propane distribution systems for retail customers.
- Provide emergency response, system installation, and testing.
- Provide customer service by sharing service information and answering inquiries during daily interactions.
- Inspect the vehicle and notify a supervisor of required equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
- Keep the work area and vehicle clean and orderly, storing tools, equipment, and materials appropriately.
- Prepare and maintain records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
- Operate the vehicle according to established safety procedures.
- Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane equipment to and from specified destinations.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.
