About The Position

Lundy's Propane, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company, is seeking a Propane Delivery Driver in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The role loads, transports, and delivers propane to residential and commercial customers using a bobtail truck with a 3,000–5,000-gallon capacity. The driver must hold a Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements and prioritize personal and customer safety. The position calls for strong communication, a positive attitude when facing challenges, and the ability to carry out solutions. The driver complies with applicable regulations, inspects and maintains the vehicle, and keeps accurate records related to inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven. Work is normally performed outdoors, where exposure to extreme heat or cold, fumes, airborne particles, and gases is common. Evening and weekend work may be needed. The role is subject to pre-hire DOT medical certification, drug and/or alcohol testing, a physical abilities test, screening, and a background check.

Requirements

Proven work experience as a Propane Delivery Driver.
Advanced knowledge of propane (LP) and refined fuel systems.
Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety (FMCSA) Regulations.
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Willingness to learn and grow and uphold a customer-focused culture that strives to exceed expectations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift, carry, or move weights of 20 to 100 pounds for approximately 90% of the work shift.
Ability to regularly climb in and out of a commercial motor vehicle multiple times per work shift.
Hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, grasping ability, and visual acuity to operate equipment, including at night.
Ability to sit frequently and reach with hands and arms; ability to speak and hear.
Meet pre-hire DOT medical certification requirements and pass drug and/or alcohol testing, a company-provider physical abilities test, pre-employment screening, and a background check.

Nice To Haves

LP Delivery certification through the Oklahoma RRC, or the ability to obtain it.
TWIC card.

Responsibilities

Load, secure, transport, and deliver propane and fuel to residential and commercial locations.
Comply with city, state, and federal regulations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment used to transport hazardous materials.
Document truck inspections, hours of service, product transported, and miles driven accurately and in compliance with DOT regulations.
Monitor truck maintenance needs, conduct minor repairs, and complete daily DOT truck inspections to support vehicle safety and operational efficiency.
Ensure the delivery vehicle receives service according to its maintenance schedule, and report larger service needs and mechanical issues to a supervisor.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
