About The Position

This position is responsible for providing business development support for the National Accounts Sales team in an environment that is fast moving and critical to securing group customers. Responsible for leading pre-sale activities, acting as project manager of the end-to-end sales process, and engaging with internal cross-functional stakeholders to deliver a superior sales experience for our customers. This role is accountable for maintaining pipeline documentation, Salesforce adherence, competitive intelligence research, presentation development, and proposal execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree OR 4 years business experience
  • 1 year experience in a position exhibiting project coordination functions including strong organization, and prioritization skills; ability to accept direction and feedback, experience that involves communicating with stakeholders and problem-solving
  • Experience managing multiple priorities including changing assignments and priorities
  • PC proficiency to include MS Office products
  • Verbal and written communication skills including establishing working relationships across departments and within a team
  • Detailed oriented
  • Ability to independently conduct research, build knowledge and refine skillset
  • Self-starter, requiring a moderate level of guidance and direction

Responsibilities

  • Support the business lead/sales executive on new sale opportunities for National Accounts group business.
  • Lead the project management of the end-to-end sales process; maintaining workplan documentation, driving tasks towards completion, monitoring milestone dates, and ensuring decisions, risks, and issues are captured accurately. Facilitate escalations as appropriate.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence research and prospective client research to maintain an accurate sales pipeline for National Accounts.
  • Build an understanding of employer-sponsored healthcare.
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of products and services offered in our markets.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate clear communication virtually, written, and during meeting facilitation.
  • Proactively drive work forward by identifying tasks, documenting open items, execution of action items, and providing transparency across stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a high level of organization by monitoring milestone dates, creating agendas/notes, asking questions, creating accurate documentation, ensuring Salesforce accuracy, and enabling collaboration across key stakeholders.
  • Create, iterate, and publish documentation for the Sales Support team to operate more efficiently during the RFP process.
  • Utilize tools and resources to follow established best practices and deliver an outstanding proposal to the market.
  • Responsible for coordinating the preparation, development, and delivery of internal and external presentations.
