About The Position

This is a regional position, but is a support role for all projects in the SE Region. The role will require assisting in pre-construction scheduling for our "Work Winning" and "Business Development" teams in Wilmington, NC. The role will also require travel to various project sites to assist in schedule baselining, schedule updates, schedule workshops, etc. Lastly, the role will require project engineering assistance in the research and analysis of the contract documents required to establish accurate activity durations and schedule logic. This includes quantity takeoffs, production analysis, and research of project phasing and schedule driven project requirements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in all aspects of scheduling software (P6 is a must, MS Project is a plus).
• At least 2 years of experience as a full-time scheduler (5 years ideal).
• Experience as the lead on at least 2 project schedules requiring submissions to the Owner/Client.
• Firm understanding of Highway construction, including traffic management and phasing.
• Firm understanding of contract requirements for CPM Schedules for DOT projects and Unit Price quantity driven scheduling techniques and cost loading.

Nice To Haves

• Served in a Project Engineering and/or Project Management role on highway projects for 5 years prior to dedicating themselves to scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Serving as the "scheduling representative" listed in DOT contracts.
• Assisting with project engineering tasks such as quantity takeoffs, production analysis, and cost tracking.
