The Security Project Manager will manage multiple physical security projects simultaneously, leading the design and installation of security systems for new data centers, data center expansions, and special projects. The role manages the physical security project lifecycle, including specifications, drawings, code compliance, vendors, budgets, change orders, and close-out documentation. It also manages security design-build activities, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), and support processes; represents physical security in construction planning meetings; and contributes to acceptance, sign-off, and operational-readiness validation for high-security facilities alongside other AWS teams. The role reports performance metrics, collaborates across teams, and provides weekly project updates to the AWS Senior Security Program Manager. The position also evaluates vendor invoices and recommends whether they are accurate to an AWS Senior Security Program Manager. Invoice evaluation includes validating project completion percentages and equipment ordering levels, and working with security integrator vendors to obtain evidence supporting invoiced labor. The contracted manager does not approve invoices but may participate in purchase order and financial management. Occasional travel to facilities within a 50-mile radius of the assigned city is required. The contract is for 12 months, with potential for extension or conversion.
