Project Operations & Research Intern (Temporary)

EngrainGreenwood Village, CO
Onsite

About The Position

Engrain builds map-based tech that’s redefining how real estate works. Our interactive, unit-level maps and powerful data integrations help over 1,000 companies—and 20,000 properties—to make smarter decisions, streamline leasing, and deliver better renter experiences. From prospect to renewal, our products give properties a spatial brain and a visual edge when it comes to property marketing and management. We are looking for a sharp, tech-forward Intern to lead a high-priority data organization project. This role is ideal for someone who loves "organizing chaos." You will be responsible for researching specific internal and external assets, cataloging them into a centralized system you build from scratch, and identifying trends within that data to help our leadership team make informed decisions. This is a foundational role. The day-to-day involves significant manual research and data entry. We need someone who finds the ‘needle in the haystack’ and doesn’t mind the effort it takes to get there. The expected duration of this internship is 90 days.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in relational database design (Airtable/Notion/Excel) and a background in research-heavy coursework or internships; must demonstrate the ability to categorize complex information and identify underlying trends without constant supervision.
  • Experience building relational databases (Airtable, Notion, or similar) with an understanding of how to link records and automate workflows.
  • High proficiency in digital research and the ability to verify information across multiple platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in high-volume, repetitive research tasks; you are comfortable spending long hours "in the weeds" of data entry and documentation to ensure the integrity of our records.
  • A "measure twice, cut once" approach to data entry.
  • Ability to see the "big picture" while managing granular details.

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize a relational database (e.g., Airtable) to track project assets, timelines, and documentation.
  • Research and extract specific data points from various digital sources, ensuring all entries are categorized for easy retrieval.
  • Review the collected data to find "the story"—identifying patterns, overlaps, or anomalies that require leadership attention.
  • Take ownership of the project workflow from start to finish with minimal daily oversight.

Benefits

  • hourly rate of $25.00 - $32.00
  • 100% coverage of employee’s health, dental and vision insurance with basic plan
  • Dog-friendly office
  • On-site amenities including a professional fitness center, flexible & modern workspace, coffee bar, happy hour taps & team member lounge
