Onsite Project Moderator (Los Angeles, CA)
About The Position
The Moderator will work onsite to ensure the proper execution of study/project requirements. The primary responsibility is to participate in video sessions and provide updates to the other members of the production team, as well as performing very basic troubleshooting of data collection technology. Requirements
- Comfortable being on camera for a most of the day
- Experience using a lux light meter to measure and assess lighting conditions is required.
- Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle, as regular travel is required for this role

Nice To Haves
- Experience in moderation, facilitation, proctoring or similar roles preferred
- Possess basic technical knowledge and experience in using iOS
- Knowledge of research methodologies and ethical considerations is a plus
- Working knowledge of video production language, including common filming, lighting, audio, and post-production terminology is a plus
- Experience working with prototypes is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, communications, or related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
Responsibilities
- Participate in and support required video-recorded scenarios and study activities
- Operate and maintain data collection equipment, offload data, manage logistics, provide daily reports, and lead the overall high-quality data generation for this effort, day in, day out
- Understand provided project documentation
- Capture data for the assigned project, aiming to reach the targeted daily goal
- Utilize client tools to label/tag data
- Convey sessions details to the Project Manager and Production team
- Communicate and coordinate with project team
- Interact with various hardware & software
- Assist in preparing session materials and setting up facility
- Provide feedback on session dynamics and participant engagement
