About The Position

An immediate opportunity is available for a Project Manager based in the Madison, Wisconsin area. This role will oversee heavy civil construction projects from initial planning through final completion while ensuring operational excellence in scheduling, budgeting, quality, and safety. The successful candidate will work closely with field operations, owners, engineers, subcontractors, and executive leadership to coordinate every phase of project delivery while maintaining strong client relationships and driving successful project outcomes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferred
  • Minimum of two years of Project Management experience within heavy civil construction
  • Experience managing DOT, roadway, or highway infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of underground utility installation, including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water main construction
  • Background in commercial and residential site development projects
  • Experience overseeing projects valued between $10 million and $250 million
  • Proficiency with Primavera, Vista, and Microsoft Office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working throughout Wisconsin or the Upper Midwest is beneficial but not required

Responsibilities

  • Direct all phases of heavy civil construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and production plans
  • Coordinate daily activities with superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to maximize project profitability
  • Identify potential project risks and develop effective solutions to keep work on schedule
  • Ensure compliance with company safety standards, contract requirements, and quality expectations
  • Build lasting relationships with owners, municipalities, consultants, and business partners
  • Prepare project reports and communicate progress, forecasts, and key milestones to leadership
  • Support successful execution of multiple infrastructure projects while maintaining high customer satisfaction
