About The Position

Brayman Construction Corporation in Erie, PA is looking for a dependable, full-time Project Manager - Heavy Civil to oversee construction projects, collaborate with clients and project teams, monitor project performance, and support employee development. Today, we are a large, nationally recognized provider of complex, heavy civil and geotechnical construction projects servicing both public and private sector clients.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of project management experience in heavy civil, infrastructure, or deep foundation construction.
  • Experience managing public infrastructure, transportation, industrial, or commercial construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling, budgeting, cost control, procurement, and contract management.
  • This is a Safety Sensitive Position requiring work on project sites, including federal projects.
  • Project sites contain various safety hazards associated with heavy construction.
  • This position may require working at heights, in confined spaces, around heavy equipment, and under constantly changing circumstances.
  • This position will be subject to more stringent drug testing and compliance policies associated with our status as a Federal Contractor.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with unit-price contracts, competitive bidding procedures, and government-funded construction projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage heavy civil construction projects from initial planning through project completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and productivity objectives.
  • Coordinate daily activities with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and project owners.
  • Administer project documentation, including contracts, subcontracts, RFIs, submittmits, change orders, and related records.
  • Monitor project costs, schedules, productivity, and overall progress to ensure operational and financial goals are achieved.
  • Lead project meetings, provide regular updates to clients, and resolve project issues efficiently.
