About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Paving Project Manager for our area operations. This position requires 5+ years of private and public project management experience, with an emphasis on civil construction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of civil construction project management and site development experience.
  • Experience in the efficient management of one or more projects (private and public) ranging from $550k – $15 million.
  • Experience in scheduling, labor, materials, subcontractors, change orders, cash flows, and marketing.
  • Proven ability to supervise construction operations to achieve maximum efficiency and performance on time and within budget.
  • Proven ability to monitor project status and suggest improvements.
  • Proven ability to monitor costs and yields.
  • Proven ability to conduct continuous evaluation of various project aspects.
  • Proven ability to monitor and review daily reports.
  • Knowledge of local ordinances and laws concerning construction.
  • Knowledge of safety, OSHA, equal employment, and affirmative action programs.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage time and duties efficiently.
  • Must be able to meet company MVR requirements and have a valid Florida driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage one or more projects (private and public) ranging from $550k – $15 million.
  • Oversee scheduling, labor, materials, subcontractors, change orders, cash flows, and marketing.
  • Supervise all construction operations on assigned projects to achieve maximum efficiency and performance on time and within the assigned budget.
  • Monitor project status and suggest improvements to the Area Manager regarding crew size, performance methods, techniques, work quality, and value engineering.
  • Monitor all costs and yields within the area of responsibility and identify adverse changes.
  • Continuously evaluate plans and schedules, salaries, promotions, job assignments, equipment performance and needs, personnel needs, quality control, customer relations, on-the-job training, job safety, security, crime prevention procedures, and subcontractor relations.
  • Coordinate and control the work of all subcontractors, ensuring compliance with job specifications and company policies.
  • Monitor and review all required daily reports and verify their correctness.
  • Ensure compliance with local ordinances and laws concerning construction and arrange for necessary permits.
  • Maintain knowledge of safety regulations, OSHA, equal employment, and affirmative action programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
