The Project Manager will support growth-focused, new product, capital projects, and strategic initiatives for Optum Advisory Provider Technology, working on small to medium-sized projects or sub-projects within larger programs. You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven program/project management experience
  • 1+ years in provider technology products or related fields
  • Experience working in MS Planner, MS Project, and MS standard application package
  • Proven stakeholder management experience in leadership and decision-making roles
  • Proven experience working in a financial organization which is a large multinational company or similar environment
  • Demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Teams and SharePoint

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple small to mid-size initiatives within Optum Advisory across the Provider Technology business. Efforts may include internal/external partner management
  • Lead or contribute to the development of project scope statements with applicable stakeholders (e.g., program/project charter, Statement of ---Work, Business Vision Document)
  • Develop and deliver on all necessary project, communication and risk mitigation plans across project and program level stakeholders in addition to executive leadership when necessary
  • Work directly with cross functional teams to ensure delivery of a quality, high value add product
  • Drive creation of schedule based on alignment by all impacted business teams and stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery
  • Manage and deliver on status of projects as well as critical issues/risks, escalating to executive leadership when necessary
