About The Position

Reporting to the Executive Director of Business Analytics and System Support, the Project Manager serves as a key resource to provide organizational-wide project management practices, tools, and standard resources. The core function of this role is to drive improvement tailored to business performance requirements and to add value to the annual strategic and operational planning processes by quantifying opportunities for improvement. The Project Manager is responsible for effectively scoping, leading, and managing from inception through execution, the high-priority projects that support the organization’s business objectives. The role works collaboratively with clinical and administrative leaders across the organization.

Requirements

  • BS Degree in a health care-related field.
  • 2-4 years of project management experience strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively influence others and promote a positive change environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities, manage multiple projects at various stages, and work cross-functionally.
  • Must possess a high level of initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness, with the ability to both work independently and as part of a broader team.

Nice To Haves

  • Masters preferred.
  • Certification in Project Management and/or quality improvement methodologies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Transferring stakeholders’ perceptions of problems into viable solutions and actionable plans, utilizing diplomacy and flexibility in response to changing concerns, while maintaining oversight of costs, schedules, and quality to ensure critical milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Managing all aspects of assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle, including defining project scope, determining resource availability, estimating time and financial commitment, and outlining how to monitor and report on project progress.
  • Managing multiple and competing projects, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships, giving appropriate attention to high-value projects and those in critical phases.
  • Devising feasible project plans, including milestones, tasks, and target/actual dates of completion, to achieve project goals and align with the organization’s priorities.
  • Revising project plans, as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements and ensuring understanding of all stakeholders for reasons and results of change.
  • Escalating relevant changes or risks to appropriate decision-makers.
  • Leading and/or guiding others in completing project work plans, current state assessments, change management plans, communication plans, testing plans, spread and scale plans, and sustainability plans.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and status of project timelines and keeping stakeholders and senior leadership informed of project statuses.
  • Scheduling and leading project meetings, including logistics, agendas, and minutes.
  • Conducting regularly scheduled status meetings with stakeholders.
  • Proactively identifying potential project risks and taking steps to mitigate them.
  • Facilitating cross-functional meetings and discussions to address roadblocks.
  • Mastering and applying standard project management tools to all projects.
  • Driving a systematic approach to problem-solving and process improvement by using quality management and engineering tools.
  • Utilizing data-driven approaches to collaboratively evaluate processes and outcomes.
  • Developing plans to revise workflows, conduct tests of change, measure results, and support the implementation of new processes.
  • Maintaining and facilitating a performance improvement culture.
  • Taking initiative to reach out and drive changes and new ways of working.
  • Investigating key performance drivers and understanding where the value chain is lost.
  • Using appropriate statistical process control methods to understand and interpret common cause and variation.
  • Establishing metrics for managing, tracking, and sustaining project performance.
