About The Position

Vantor is seeking a Project Manager to lead a cross-functional, highly technical team in designing, developing, validating, and demonstrating an integrated analytical capability supporting pattern recognition, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, agent-based modeling (ABM) or equivalent, and decision support in a Ubiquitous Technical Surveillance (UTS) environment. This role is crucial for enhancing Joint Force survivability by characterizing the UTS threat and providing a mission-agnostic risk-management tool for commanders and operators. The enterprise will leverage this analysis and these tools to increase isolated personnel (IP) survivability and bolster force protection for PR task forces. The Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for the customer, addressing technical, contractual, and financial details. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for working with customers, subcontractors, vendors, academia, government personnel, and corporate support services. A strong mission focus is required, with experience in the Personnel Recovery mission being a plus.

Requirements

  • US Citizen and must have an active TS/SCI clearance, with ability to obtain CI Poly.
  • 6 years’ relevant professional experience.
  • 2 years of experience in project management in support of the DoD or IC.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Must be able to work on-site in Herndon, Va.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in engineering, science, or equivalent experience.
  • Certified as a PMP, DAWIA Level III, or equivalent in the project management functional area.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with the customer and staff.
  • Experience leading teams of technical experts in support of the DoD and preferably the IC.
  • Familiarity with advanced analytic, machine learning and/or agent-based modeling techniques.
  • Experience working with and managing subcontractors.
  • Experience working with operationally-oriented customers.
  • Business development experience: capture experience, white papers, competitive technical proposals, business proposals, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project operations to ensure production schedules are met, system resources are used effectively, and proper relationships are established between customers.
  • Responsible for cost, schedule, performance and risk identification/mitigation, to include forecasts, invoices, EACs, and MSRs.
  • Supervise staff operations and perform personnel management of employees to facilitate their day-to-day duties, as well as support their professional development and career growth.
  • Provide oversight and management of subcontractor companies and their staff who support this task order.
  • Cultivate and collect of new customer requirements for additional staff, vendor support, procurement, or travel.
  • Deliver strong project and financial performance by meeting customer expectations and corporate forecasts.
  • Develop and realize new business opportunities within and external to the task order through targeted and organic growth.
