About The Position

Corrado Properties is seeking an experienced and bilingual (English/Spanish) Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role involves supervising workers, managing resources, and ensuring safety and compliance with building codes and regulations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in project management, leadership, and communication, and be fluent in both English and Spanish to work effectively with project managers, engineers, and other team members to deliver successful construction projects.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction supervision or related roles.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project plans.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions and on active construction sites.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift materials or equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish.

Nice To Haves

  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • OSHA certification, First Aid/CPR, and other relevant construction safety certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring work is being completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and safety guidelines.
  • Supervise and coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, and labor resources. Ensure team members are working efficiently and safely.
  • Track project milestones and timelines, ensuring the work is on schedule. Address any delays or obstacles that may arise during construction.
  • Ensure all construction work meets industry standards and quality expectations. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any issues or defects.
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure the worksite is in compliance with all safety regulations, including OSHA standards. Provide ongoing safety training and conduct safety meetings.
  • Coordinate the delivery and use of materials, tools, and equipment required for construction. Monitor inventory and ensure the correct resources are available to avoid project delays.
  • Maintain regular communication with the project manager and other team members. Provide daily or weekly reports on progress, challenges, and any changes to the project scope.
  • Monitor construction costs and assist in managing the project budget. Ensure that materials, labor, and equipment are used efficiently and within budgetary constraints.
  • Address any technical or operational challenges that arise during the construction process. Proactively find solutions to prevent delays or complications.
  • Ensure that all work complies with local building codes, zoning laws, and environmental regulations. Coordinate inspections as required by local authorities.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders. Ensure that client expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project.
