About The Position

Prometheus Federal Services (PFS) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the evaluation of a Federal Healthcare Agency’s organizational structure, programs, processes, and knowledge management practices. The Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of all task areas, including managing the technical approach, setting priorities, coordinating client and stakeholder activity, and driving performance and quality assurance. This role involves maintaining the Project Management Plan, driving project reporting, and ensuring all deliverables are tracked, on schedule, and ready for Government review. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, PMP-certified, and has hands-on experience managing the operational aspects of a federal consulting task order, such as deliverables tracking, scheduling, meeting logistics, and status/financial reporting. This individual will keep a multidisciplinary team on schedule and on budget, proactively identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, and serve as the day-to-day point of contact for project leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7+ years of experience managing federal government projects or task orders, including at least 3 years in a Project Manager or similar operational-lead role.
  • Demonstrated experience with project scheduling, status reporting, and deliverable tracking on Firm-Fixed-Price or deliverables-based contracts.
  • Strong meeting facilitation and technical writing skills (agendas, minutes, status/progress reports).
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. indefinitely without sponsorship.
  • Ability to obtain public trust.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification strongly preferred (or equivalent).
  • Prior experience supporting HHS, its subagencies, or another federal health/regulatory agency.
  • Experience supporting organizational assessment, program evaluation, or business process improvement engagements.
  • Working familiarity with FAR/HHSAR administrative and reporting requirements.
  • Experience coordinating integrated project teams that include subcontractor personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day execution of deliverables across all SOW task areas and workstream leads, working alongside the Program Manager to set priorities and coordinate client/stakeholder activity.
  • Schedule, facilitate, and/or participate in Government meetings (kickoff, bi-weekly status, monthly progress, and other project/coordination meetings) and prepare associated agendas and materials.
  • Maintain and update the Project Management Plan (PMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) throughout the period of performance.
  • Prepare and deliver Bi-Weekly Status Reports and Monthly Progress Reports, covering task status, deliverable status, milestones, issues, risks, and planned activities.
  • Track all deliverables against acceptance criteria and due dates, ensuring drafts are submitted with sufficient lead time.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes for kickoff, bi-weekly, monthly, and other Government meetings within required turnaround times.
  • Support the Quality Control Plan by reviewing deliverables prior to COR submission, ensuring compliance with general acceptance criteria and Section 508 requirements.
  • Maintain the risk register, track mitigation actions (including equipment and mandatory training compliance), and escalate emerging risks to the Program Manager and COR.
  • Support invoice preparation and validation.
  • Maintain personnel rosters, non-disclosure agreements, and background-investigation/PIV tracking in coordination with the Program Manager and corporate security team.
