About The Position

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. As Project Manager, you will play a vital role within the assigned business segment supporting customer deliverables. You will develop and control schedule and budget on assigned projects, as well as being designated as the point of contact for customer communications, meetings, and questions. This position requires interaction with engineering, manufacturing, project management office, planning, quality assurance, contracts, and finance to address all project actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, Business Administration, or equivalent will be considered
  • Five 5+ years of related experience in Project management or project leadership experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and ERP Systems
  • Excellent organization, communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coordinate and control Project Work Plan execution to achieve project technical, cost and schedule objectives.
  • Efficiently and effectively work towards goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple constraints.
  • Lead the project team and regular project meetings to monitor and drive progress toward project objectives.
  • Maintain effective customer communications, ensuring that all customer requirements and expectations are addressed effectively.
  • Address and resolve project issues pertaining to project work scope, technical requirements, quality, schedule, resource assignments, cost customer interface and other project related activities.
  • Communicate project progress, issues, and/or resolution options to project team members’ customers and EMD management.
  • Review and control project cost, including the coordination and certification of Estimate at Complete dates.
  • Develop and monitor the Project Risk Management Plan as part of project planning and execution.
  • Interact with Sourcing and suppliers to plan for and secure the materials needed for the project and future production.
