About The Position

The Project Manager supervises and coordinates the Project Team to complete work in a quality manner, on time, and within budget. They serve as Miles-McClellan's representative to the Owner and Architect, responsible for protecting and promoting the company's interests.

Requirements

  • Four-year construction management or engineering degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and installation procedures.
  • Thorough knowledge of building code requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction costs.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction scheduling.
  • Thorough knowledge of estimating.
  • Thorough knowledge of engineering principles.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety.
  • Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide initial client contact to assess scope of work and resources required.
  • Prepare complete estimates with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, and contracting.
  • Supervise the construction effort to ensure the project is built according to design, budget, and schedule.
  • Monitor and control construction through administrative direction of the on-site superintendent.
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Represent the company in project meetings.
  • Manage financial aspects of contracts, including fee payment, rental equipment, income, and expenses.
  • Keep upper management informed about project progress, financial status, and Owner-Architect relations.
  • Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, and work rules.
  • Participate in the training and development of assigned personnel.
  • Annually evaluate all personnel under the Project Manager's control.
