About The Position

CCAP and the Warwick HEZ partnership are seeking a passionate, dynamic and entrepreneurial Project Manager to continue the work of and lead the Warwick HEZ Initiative. Warwick HEZ seeks to increase "social cohesion" in the city while addressing social determinants of health, economic and health disparities that impact Warwick’s growing low-income and minority communities. The Project Manager will coordinate a diverse group of partner organizations to advance strategies to increase civic engagement and strengthen targeted communities through collective impact strategies and reduce health disparities in the city.

Requirements

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in the following areas: community organizing, collective impact, data analysis, economic development, workforce development, public administration, human services, urban planning, community organizing, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with building consensus among diverse stakeholders working toward a common goal and motivating action.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Experience engaging in policy and systems change work.
  • Ability to navigate different sectors and professional environments while engaging with diverse levels of leadership, including resident activists, politicians, and corporate executives.
  • Must possess humility and understand boundaries, knowing when to push and when to step back.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in written and oral communications.
  • Previous experience with grant writing and resource development.
  • Must be culturally competent and value diversity, equity, and cultural differences.
  • Provide/maintain all required immunizations and/or vaccinations
  • Complete all required background checks

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Warwick and the City’s neighborhoods.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, Khmer, or other relevant languages considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to a highly-structured group of cross-sector stakeholders to implement initiative activities.
  • Responsible for managing the Warwick HEZ work plan, ensuring community and partnership “ownership” of the plan, and working with partners and residents to update the plan annually.
  • Work with partners to build and sustain a strong community voice within the Warwick HEZ partnership.
  • Work to ensure that partner activities and related initiatives in the City are coordinated and aligned with Warwick HEZ goals and supported by the larger collaboration.
  • Work closely with CCAP and HEZ partners to design, develop, and deploy a shared measurement system that will track progress towards results over time, build accountability, and increase resident and partner capacity to use data to support learning and ongoing improvement.
  • Work with CCAP and the HEZ Partnership to ensure that robust, consistent, and open communication occurs across the initiative to inform partners and community members about Warwick HEZ activities, promote inclusion and build trust, share progress, motivate and coordinate action, and strengthen the larger collaboration.
  • Using extensive social media, the Project Manager will develop and oversee implementation of Warwick HEZ outreach and marketing strategy.
  • With support from CCAP’s Leadership Team and Warwick HEZ partners, build off existing relationships and establish new partnerships to advance the initiative.
  • Ensure the effective and meaningful engagement of community members in the design and implementation of the initiative.
  • Convene HEZ Steering Committee and initiative workgroups to implement the Warwick HEZ work plan and to build shared accountability over initiative activities.
  • Serve as a strong, neutral, and skilled facilitator to guide partners and stakeholders towards consensus.
  • Work with CCAP and partner staff to ensure all partners, work groups, initiative supporters, etc. work effectively together to accomplish initiative goals.
  • Track progress towards key results and report progress to partners, community members, funders, and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent the initiative and build support in the community.
  • Advocate on behalf of partners and community members to secure resources and policies/practices that support the Warwick HEZ vision, values, strategies and results.
  • Work with collaborating partners to develop a data collection and evaluation plan to track progress towards results, identify when course correction is necessary, and to ensure evaluative practice.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure stakeholders remain informed of the initiative’s vision, progress, results, and successes.
  • Represent the initiative externally and work to build public support through dissemination of results, positive messaging and addressing misinformation.
  • Model the use of data to inform planning and decision-making.
  • Work with CCAP and Warwick HEZ partners to secure investments to help build the initiative and implement priority strategies and activities.
