About The Position

Advanced Technology & Research Corporation (ATRCORP) is seeking a full-time Project Manager to join their Engineering Services Division. This role will be based at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, in Indian Head, MD, working within the Air Systems Engineering Branch. The position involves supporting world-class military programs for the US Navy's Warfare technology. The applicant will work on-site with the Air Systems Engineering team, collaborating with project leads and engineers to develop documentation and ensure projects execute according to plan. Responsibilities include supporting the project manager in overseeing and coordinating projects, contributing to project planning, preparing and maintaining documentation, reviewing contracts and financials, monitoring project activities, and evaluating overall project performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS or BA degree in a related discipline
  • 5+ years of project management or relevant experience
  • Extensive MS Project experience and thorough understanding of project management principles
  • Utilizing budget and financial knowledge in executing projects to cost, schedule and performance requirements
  • Experience with integrated master schedule development and tracking
  • Experience developing integrated master schedule summary charts for inclusion in status briefs
  • Experience working with naval engineering financials, budgeting, cost estimates, Statements of Work
  • Experience with analysis report writing and project management plans
  • Possess strong MS Office skills to include, but not limited to MS Word, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, and Adobe Pro
  • Possess excellent verbal/written communications skills and attention to detail
  • Interest and aptitude for working on complex technical projects and teams in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple assignments
  • Ability to interact with technical and non-technical customers and external teammates to understand their issues, frame potential solutions and develop collaborative projects
  • Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP certification and experience in Project Management principles is preferred
  • Job experience with Navy or DoD engineering is desirable but not a prerequisite
  • Current successful background investigation completion is a plus.
