About The Position

Medical Mutual is seeking a Project Manager to lead enterprise projects and teams. This role is based out of the Brooklyn, OH office and operates on a hybrid-remote model, requiring employees to work onsite on designated days each week. Founded in 1934, Medical Mutual is a leading health insurance company in Ohio, providing comprehensive coverage to over 1.2 million members. The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering project objectives on time and within budget, utilizing methodologies such as Waterfall, Scrum (Agile), or Kanban (Agile). The role involves planning, developing, and implementing the project lifecycle, providing guidance to team members, and collaborating cross-functionally to remove barriers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years’ experience managing successful projects using a formal methodology life cycle.
  • Experience with data analysis and presentation skills
  • Strong knowledge of Waterfall project management and/or Agile scrum master methodologies/processes.
  • Working knowledge of the applications development life cycle and infrastructure processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Appropriate methodology certification preferred as offered through the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Responsibilities

  • Manage all stages of the projects assigned with management support, including planning, implementing and monitoring activities.
  • Work with line managers and team members to develop appropriate methodology plans and activities with appropriate tasks, resources, milestones, cost analysis and timelines.
  • Provide all levels of project communications and work with project sponsors or product owners to resolve issues, address changes and identify risks.
  • Provide appropriate business analysis by working closely with business areas to understand the business need and work to identify alternative technical, architectural and design solutions to meet that need.
  • Identify future business needs, especially from a strategic perspective.
  • Contribute to ongoing project leadership process improvement by peer review of other projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
